Women's Internship 2009

I am Lawy Phoo Reang. I am attending women’s internship at SYCB. The SYCB is Students and Youth Congress of Burma. We are 10 people participating in the women’s internship program. There are including KNGY, TSYO, AASYC, ZSYO, KYO, DPNS, ALD-Youth, MYPO, AKSYU and one person joins to learn with us when she has free time.

Before we came to attend the women’s internship program we didn't know a lot of things and I think our skills were very poor. Now we have improved our skills. The main subjects we learn are English, Thai, computer, political and many trainings. And then we also share about our mother organization to each other. And we can share about our traditions to each other. We sometimes give presentation about other countries. So I think we get a lot of knowledge from the women’s internship.

Now, I think, we can speak English language more than before and we can have a conversation with our teacher. I believe this WIP will support us something. During the women internship we are happy and we understand each other and I see we have good confident for our self. We all like this women’s internship program, it’s very good. Also our teachers are good. I hope that we don’t forget all of things because they are important for us.

i would like to tell you about ,a training.I was attending "Adoloscent sexual and reproductive health"That is very good.After that I was analysis that training when I got a lot of topic.That was very interesting.so,I was discussing this when I have a free time I will share my experience and how to use or how to do for my community and I understood exactly clear from the trainner.Before I didn't know about reproductive health.Now I can explain anything.and I can control myself .if someone make mistaken when i can control to them.so i was satification in it.That training is very useful.I thought that is very important for all of them.but our training have a few man more than women.The most of man don't want to be attending this training but we will try or we will organize them.so, that is very good for us.

In the world we have a lot of country s and some country are famous for education, but our Burma is famous for its govern. I want to say( SPDC ) govern Burma so bad.They used power to Burmese. ( SPDC ) come to the each state and they used the violence to the women by sex and then they take the public materials,animals, and money for used to their family. So ( SPDC ) family very rich and they are very happy in their life.
( SPDC ) is selfish and foolish to the ethnic group, so ethnic group become poor people and homeless people. Some ethnic group become Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).When they become the ( IDPs ) they have many problems because of safety. They don't have home,food, clothes,medicine and education.
Ethnic group become the ( IDPs ) also the Karen people. when I know this about I very sad,but each other organization help to ( IDPs ) also the ( KYO ), ( KWO ), ( KSNG ),( KED ) and regimen .When (ISPs ) need anything they try to help them but it is not enough for them because they always run to escape their army in the jungle.So they come to the refugee camp, when they live in refugee camp they don't escape from problem. Camp life is very restricted, refugees can not easily leave the camp,and their are few opportunities to fine work.But one part they have a good opportunities for study free in the camp.This the Burma government know this very well but they don't support the poor people and the homeless.And they don't like peace and they like a war for fight the ethnic group.They don't know the ethnic group requirement. So poor people want to study for government school they don't granted.When they do anything they want to ethnic group tranquility, so our ethnic groups are refugee and ( IDPs ) because government so bad. When I hear about Burma government I get very angry, but they are not shy they are stupid.

rangon water logged due to incessant rain

incessant monsoon rain has left Burma's former capital and commercial Rangoon water logged causing life to come to a standstill local residents said

the main commercial districts of Rangoon's dowtown area such as Sule Pagoda. Seikkantha street. Tarmwe50th street
and Bothathaung township. have been water logged due to incessant rain that started at 2AM(local time ) on wednesday.
the rain has not stopped since this morning. Every where is flooded with water almost knee high. a resident of
kandawkalay ward in Minglar Taungnyunt township of Rangoon told Mizzima.
in come parts of the city's suburbs such as south okklapa Township. water has risen above kneeheight. resident said.
Moreover. water has also covered areas such as Thingakyun township.
However. with the rain stopping in the afternoon. the water level is going down though the roads are still to surface resident said.

Rangoon in early May was severly damaged by cyclone Nargis which lashed the city with a wind speed of 120kilmetres per hour. However. so far there have been no reports of damage caused by the rain and flood on wednesday.

Worm and Butterfly

I say, One example,you are on a different of the animal in the world.And them, you are very low in world of animal.It you are a worm.And also, the worm have very latte light and dark in the world. After that,he is not sure to see and to hear voice.But the voice is very loudly and touch him so he can hear a little.
And them , he get to knowing a little smell and sensation.And also,when some or some thing touch him and he hurting.So a small worm's life and a small butterfly's life are very different.How much different so we can estimate for their life.The butterfly is very beauty of the insect on the world.Then he has a lot of col our and he is more free them the worm also he can fly free,he can fly high,he can fly everywhere.
we are looking at them eating food.The butterfly eat only nectar. The nectar have a lot small and taske.After that,what do worms eat?.He eat ground ,the ground had no smell and taste .They are eating on very different levels.Al those they are the same of the animal in the world.How much different ground and nectar of the small and taste . Also nectar is the same as honey and then people drink the honey.After that, We can say honey is very appreciated food and honey is very sweet people like it.
We are looking in the scope of the butterfly he has a lot of colour ,a lot of flowers and a lot of high trees.We are looking in the scope of the worm,have the scope of the worm? How much? But no nothing .He can the light and dark.After how much worm movement? The worm cycle slowly go on the ground then sometime he go on ground .He know the ground high for him and lower is go in to the ground.
If a small butterfly can talk to worm"Oh" a small Worm, the flower plants has the blossoms then very nice or beautiful and fragrant. What is the worm respond?"What is flower or blossoms"I don't know.What is it you say? What is nice or beautiful? "What is blossom fragrant?" The nectar is sweet, What is sweet? After climb the high and look down everywhere. It is good and peaceful.What is the high? I leave to away.What is away? The worm don't know nothing.So it is not here. It you imagine So you say.I don't know anything because Our life level is very different.life level, level

My Experience

Before,I came to student's and youth congress of burma(SYCB) I didn't know anything.After I finish its WIP(women Internship program) I have got knowledge about a lot of things.That is political subject,English,Thai and any training.The main subject is politics.Now, I think,I can speak English language very well and I can have a conversation with my teacher.sometimes I got disappointed from them.when we want to go somewhere but doesn't have any transporting .But I like this WIP and I am enjoying with them.We are (11) persons attending WIP.I have a lot of ethnic friends,There are including

I am tavoyan.Before I got there I cannot speak Burmese language very well.Now I can speak.And I got a lot of progression,And now I can speak in front of people very well.sometimes we understood about ethnic group.we are sharing about our organization from them,My teacher name is caroline.she taught us from (6) months.After that i got a new teacher.Her name is Elenore.she is young and very good for us.we learned about democracy and about Cambodia ,I like so much.I was faithful and about WIP,I have a good confidence for myself from a good teacher.we was opening ceremony at 17.9.07 and closing ceremony is 17.3.08 caroline was leaving then.I was crying,she said to me." Don't say good bye"she said,she will come to later to mae sot.so I said "see you later" and then,Now I have got a lovely teacher .And also love her so much.she have done a WIP blog for us.so I can write everything.And then I played a football game with my teacher but we are loosing,and then I got to the swimming pool with my friends during the WIP.So,very very funny for me,and I never got forget spending the time with my severals friends and teacher.sometimes we have a birthday we have a birthday then she is doing a cleberate for our birthday....

we have done a celebrate evaluation for VOTE NO telephone campaign (8th April 24th may 2008).we got a lot of information from our public.They got informed (they should do or they should not do) us.We called a lot of phones and we gave a lot of organization to them.And we explained a bout new constitution to make it clear.Even though we know that the SPDC will win but we don't need necessary win or loose.Because we wanted to be exactly clear about constitution to our public from us.But we regarded above referendum.we was win because the publication was knew about political and about SPDC.They didn't know the government How to do above the public.They are oppressing from the bad government Than Shwe. We thought,That is a very good for our public.And we was sharing about our experience from Vote No but they cannot do everything from them.They are very afraid.Some youngest people said to us.We must do the demonstration for Vote No.So,We have good job and very successful job for Vote No.

My mother organization is Pa.O youth organization.Pa.O was formed (4.12.2002).In 1998,we began formed P.Y.D.O.P.Y.D.O is Pa.O youth Democratic organization.In 1999,we discussion for change from P.Y.D.O to P.Y.O.so 90% agreed.But 10% disagreed.Pa.O structure is conference,chairman, second chairman,secretary, second secretary and financial manger.And then 3 people in EC.40 member in P.Y.O.we have a conference 4 years a time.so this year we will have a conference.P.Y.O's aim and objectivies is 8facts.and then activity is (6)facts.There are

About Aung San Suu Kyi

she was born in 19th on June,1945.Her mother name is Daw khin kyi and her father name is Bogyoke Aung san.she is the leader of NLD(national league for democracy) she has a great influence on us. she married Michael Aris,a British Jew,on the 13st of December 1971. she got two sons.They are Aung san lay and Aung san oo.she attended English high school in Rangoon.In 1960,she was going to england with her mother.Now,she lives in jail in Rangoon.she has been a long time (20)years in arrest house in Rangoon.SPDC is very bad government.Everyone respect for her.she is flighting for Burmese democracy and peace.she got a lot of prize and a Nobel prize from international institute.And she don't care for her family with politics.she always thought very seriously for us.she never stopped caring for changing government.she don't have fear.she is very kind.Now,she staying a long time in arrest house.we want freedom for her.

General Than Swe Of The Gomern

Than Shwe is very in famous in Burma country.He is governing the country very bad.When he took over the govern,the country become poor.And them,the public have to face problem and indifferent.After that,we have the family,home,earth and country but We can't live together in it because of the governor.When the public have to face poor,starve and difficult,the governor not help them,don't return look them and don't support them.The govern is a selfish and g ready man.When the public have to face difficult,he don't support public so our public become the poor and some people leave our country and them they go to the third country and some people left in our country and they saw the many problem,they become the (ID P )people.He used violence for public because he is military powerful.When he is doing anything he get money he don't used for our ethnic groups and our country improve.He used the money to not help for public and country.He used for his military so our public were poor and starve.And them,a lot of people come to the Thailand,Japan and India refugee camp and they depend on Burma border.When Than Swen govern the Burma country died% all most.He is foolish for the public and he has not in his heart so ignorant.He is very bad for govern the Burma country.After,When he is dead he left the his history bad too.In my mind Than Swen is very selfish and gready.

Tavoyan Youth organization

My organization is Tavoyan youth organization.Tavoyan organization was formed 2002,may(12).we have (12)member in my organization.MY organization branches is bangkok,sangkhlaburi,Ranong and chum phom.TYO was formed for coperate or to work together against the Junta,SPDC and to work out for human right and fedrual union with youth around thai-burma border.Our aim is to participate in the process of rebuilding our country and in the struggle for democracy in burma.our objectives are to build up solidarity among our tavoyan people.To be able to work together with different youth organization from burma.And to build up the ability of our young people.To maintain our tavoyan culture and custom.our activities is networking with sycb in tavoyan region or thai-burma border for HIV/AIDS to protect for arriving the tavoyan people in outside..

Started 3th of May Nags
During the Nargs people were dead 200000 and the cyclone destroy yet their home.Irrawaddy Division destroying 7 state in nag’s All most st of the dead are in that 7 states. SPDC described 3% of the people dead in nag’s. But that is not true. Because we got the international information BBC, VOA, DVB, we heard a lot of dead and poor and loosing their own home and places, The SPDC was describing in MRTV They were giving the food from SPDC to the public. But we don’t believe saying that it was from the international supposing the expense of food the nag’s people. But the SPDC don’t agree from the international and never thought about the public situation. But we knew and heard from internet. The public don’t get the water .The water is very important for human survival. The public drank the water from the toilet. so, we are very bad .so
we want to help our public. But the SPDC created a new organization for distribution aid to the poor to the public 6th in may SPDC activities from MRTV. The SPDC wants it to looked like they are very helpful for the people . But that is to pretend to our public. Of Course that means that international support material is giving to the people 100%. Aid. But Donät in really doesn’t directly for the public from international aid. And SPDC don’t give enough to public. They only a very few amount of and SPDC sharing the cloths not enough. that is not good a cloths and the public don’t get the whole aid. So, when we analysis that is very bad for us. And the SPDC is very cruel and don’t care about the people and current situation .And they are taken enough food to feed themselves….

Women Internship

We wanted to learn about politics and the Thai and English languages and improving our computer skills as well. We already knew about the traditions and ethnic groups in our country. so now, thanks to the women internship we have improves our skills and thinking a lot about politics and we can speak more English learning from the volunteer. During the women internship we are enjoying our self with many ethnics friends and we can met a lot of famous political leaders. we can go to a lot of places, but we cannot go to intern exchange. We learnt a lot about Human Rights and Human Rights defender as well. So this training can support us and give us more experience and when we are leaving here we can help our mother organizations.
